About Me
Lionna Romans, known on social media as LionnaTheBand, was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. With Caribbean roots, she was influenced by the city’s diversity, which fostered a unique, eclectic artistic community. Lionna is a proud alumnus of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and a recipient of an Advanced Regents Diploma in Drama.
After eight years of rigorous conservatory-style training in acting and theatre, Lionna pursued a Bachelor’s in Music from USC Thornton’s Popular Music Performance program, joining the graduating class of 2026. From 2022-2023, she served as the Aesthetics Director for Reverse Osmosis A Cappella, further fostering her interests in vocal production and arrangement, maintaining the sentiment that you sound good when you look great.
As an award-winning performer and creative, Lionna holds a YoungArts Foundation Award in Pop Vocal Performance and is the 2026 recipient of the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame Bill Wither’s Award.
A multi-hyphenate by trade, Lionna prides herself on her ability to collaborate with others and create a supportive, low-stress environment under demanding circumstances. She values professionalism, quick thinking, and problem-solving. She has shared the stage with Steve Mackey, Ledisi, and Josh Groban, and had the pleasure of performing for industry legends like H.E.R, Babyface, and Dianne Warren. While primarily based in Los Angeles, Lionna remains bicoastal as she builds a career in the theater and music industries.
When she’s not working, Lionna loves trying new restaurants and recipes, reading up on Hunger Games fan theories, and watching Pokémon card show livestreams with her kitty Bernadette (Bernie) Peters Romans.
